Animal Ark
Animal Ark's Interactive Roadshows for schools and colleges offer unique hands-on science sessions with tame and friendly native reptiles, amphibians and creepy crawlies, in the familiar surroundings of the classroom.
Supporting a variety of curriculum frameworks and educational outcomes, each session is tailored to the target age group and can be adapted to any natural world science and S&E (society & environment) topic, for example; life & living, natural & social systems, the environment, habitats and classification.
Each and every child is offered the opportunity to get closer to nature, looking at, learning about, touching and holding visitors such as Monty the Python, Adelaide the blue-tongue skink, Phoebe the frog and Carla the creepy crawly.
Your class will also get the chance to touch and examine an amazing range of natural artefacts from sea shells to seed pods and dinosaur pooh, fossilised (thankfully), real skulls and bones.
