Fiona Mariah

Fiona Mariah comes from Western Australia. She completed her formal music studies in London, where she was awarded many prestigious scholarships and prizes. In 1994 she graduated with Honours in Opera Performance with a Diploma and Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.

Since then her operatic and recital career has taken her around the world delighting her audiences with the radiance of her voice, engaging stage presence, dazzling vocal display and powerful acting abilities, all of which has the critics searching for superlatives.

Fiona's operatic roles are too numerous to mention, but they encompass the major soprano roles of Mozart, Puccini, Handel, Verdi, Lehar and Britten.

In 1998-2000 her comic abilities were brilliantly displayed on the London West End Stage, when she played Carlotta – the Italian opera diva in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" and in 2002 she was thrilled to be named Covent Garden Performer Of The Year for her one woman show that was always performed to very enthusiastic audiences
